REASONS FOR SEASONS Part 2
Have you ever wondered why God created seasons? Typically, seasons are only considered as a division of a year based upon weather changes.
He could have easily set the Earth’s thermostat at a perfect greenhouse temperature year-round, if it was just about the temperature change. If it was about farming, He could have made Earth be in a continual harvest. But he didn’t, because those reasons don’t align with His purpose.
Did you know that seasons are used to shift the political climate?
Daniel 2: 19 says “This is the secret that was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night, and Daniel blessed the God of heaven. Daniel answered, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. It is He who changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and establishes kings…”
This tells of a different purpose that God has for a change of season. He allows the winds of change to blow and remove, or set up, a king/head of state/president/or other political figures. Who knew that…God!
Again, everything, and I mean everything, that God does is Intentional!
He confirmed this with the prophet Isaiah, in his Messianic prophecy, “the government will rest on His shoulders”. Isaiah 9:6.
The Messiah will be the one to bear the ultimate responsibility of bringing perfect justice and peace to the earth. Before voting, Gods people prayed and believed that He would supply all their needs.
The scientific reason for seasons is called the axial tilt, which simply means that earth rotates by 23.4 degrees annually so that everyone can see the glorious Sun, or some might say, to see the Glory of the Son.
From before our birth to the moment of our death, God is always accomplishing His divine purposes in our life. Every event that happens to us is based on a season, and an appropriate time – it’s never been produced by some random act or happen stance. It’s always on Purpose!
All things have been aligned in a manner that is consistent with God’s purpose for our life, even when we don’t understand it.
It might help if you think of a season, like seasoning.
Seasons add seasonings that enhances our living experience.
Seasonings get added when Life is Life-ing, and when People are People-ing. During all these seasons, God is still God-ing.
Remember Solomons words, everything has a purpose.
Here are 5 things we should know about the Seasonings of Seasons.
1. Everything we experience is meant to season us. Either it develops, tenderizes, procures, enhances, matures, or changes us.
2. It only lasts, as long as it lasts. It will not last forever. There’s a set cycle to begin and end. Once the cycle is complete it will end/stop.
3. Every season uses 3 main ingredients to complete its task. The first ingredient is Salt. Salt seasoning establishes a foundation. It helps those who taste your life, thirst for your recipe of faith.
4. The next ingredient is Spices. The heat from them helps to provide perspective. Its antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties allow you to get rid of the toxicants so that you can live healthier.
5. Herbs – provide grounding by using items from the earth. They offer balance; it cuts back on our appetite for decadent pleasures.
Every season has a purpose. Every season comes with a reason.
This quote that I read sums it up the best. “Make your life a recipe that others want to taste. Add love, sprinkle in kindness, and be the flavor that lifts the spirits of those around you”
Our growth and maturity are the Reason for the Season we are in.
This is a Thompson Truth
