REASONS FOR SEASONS

To every thing there is a Season, and a time to every purpose.

The main takeaway that Solomon wants us to get from this statement is, that God never does anything without a purpose. There are no coincidences in creation. Nothing is random. Everything is intentional!

Seasons were created on Purpose, they have a Reason.

Genesis 1:14-15. God said, let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens, to separate the day from the night. And let those lights be for signs and for seasons, and days and years. The lights that are in Heavens’ sky will give light to the Earth.

There is a lot to unpack here. The first thing we see is that God’s plan from the very beginning, was to always allow His light to shine in on our situations, whatever they may be. Thank you Lord!

He tells us that we will have dark and light experiences in this life. But those times are to serve as a sign of a season. Our experiences are seasonal. Although they might last for days and or years, they are still but for a season.

Don’t lose hope, whatever you do. God goes on to say, He has placed a light in the Heavens to shine on us here on Earth to help in every season.

This light that God is speaking of here is the light of revelation.

As we look toward Heaven regarding our situations and circumstances, we will gain insight and knowledge, o.k.a. revelation from God about our situation.

Remember, God said this long before Adam and Eve entered that garden. He hadn’t even made people at this point. Everything God does is intentional! Everything God does has a purpose.

What if, when Adam and Eve were confronted with the serpent in the garden of Eden, they took Gods advice and looked to Heaven to see how they should respond in that situation? I submit to you that their outcome would have been completely different, and ours too.

Too often, like Adam and Eve, we get caught up in a moment. We make our own decision instead of looking for the Light in Heaven to give us revelation for our situation here on Earth. Regarding that job, that issue, situation, relationship, opportunity, our future, our finances, we need to be looking to Heaven for the Light.

We, like Adam and Eve, sometimes fail to realize the importance/purpose of the season over the situation of the moment.

Where is your focus right now: is it on a moment or is it on Gods response for your season? Time is momentary, seasons are for a duration. If we look to Heaven, we can endure any moment.

When the children of Israel were moving from what was, to what shall be, they got stuck in time. They kept focusing on the past moment. What used to be. What they did last time. This aint that time! This is a season.

That thinking turned their 14-day trip into a 40-year journey which culminated in death for those who were stuck in the past. They allowed their Reflection to block Perception. Missed the momentum because they focused on a moment.

Seasons are markers for humanity to look toward Divinity to understand how to navigate a moment. But it requires a paradigm shift. Change how you think, and you can change your outcome!

Time is but a moment. Eternity is forever. You don’t want to make a temporary decision that could have lasting or permanent consequences.

My prayer for us is that whenever a situation or circumstance arises in our life, we don’t react, we respond. We look at Heaven’s light to see how to respond to this season we’re in!

Aristotle confirmed this when he said “It is during our darkest moments that we should focus to see the light”
