PTSD - A BATTLE IN THE SOUL
Most of us have heard about PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder used in the clinical or Natural sense, but I’ve been speaking about PTSD from the Spiritual perspective, the original PTSD, which is Post Traumatic Sin Disorder. It’s Sin that causes Stress!
Everything Natural has a Spiritual origin. First Spiritual then Physical.
Stress appeared after Sin began, once humanity accepted it. Sin is not a religious term, as many would have you to believe. It’s not an act or action, but rather it’s a mindset. A mindset that has deadly consequences connected to it. Sin is war/strife Creator vs. creation. Parent vs. children.
The entomological word for Sin in Hebrew is Chata. Chata means to miss the mark or to fall short of the goal. Theres no religious reference.
Sin isn’t just about what you do, but it’s more about what you think, that makes you do what you do. Why did you do that? Sin is a mindset.
It was never Gods goal for mankind to know Stress, but because of Sin / Chata, we fell short of the goal, Peace. The entomological word for Peace is pacem, which means tranquility, the absence of war & strife.
PTSD comes from Strife, and Strife is Stress. God never intended for his prize creation, made in His own image and likeness, to ever experience anything other than what He himself experiences, which is Peace.
Sin is the opposite of Peace. Sin is Stress. Peace is Tranquility.
Now that I’ve shared what Sin does, let me say what Sin is, it’s a Lie!
Sin is the Lie that God wants or causes Stress in the lives of mankind. God never wanted us to know Stress of any kind, to suggest anything else is nothing but a Lie. God is Peace. God is Love. God loves Us!
When Jesus, who is the second and last Adam was born, the angels sang “Peace and Goodwill to man”, because Peace had returned to mankind.
Jesus was sent to undo what was previously done in the Garden of Eden, when the first Adam and his new bride Eve, were told Sin Lies by a stranger who lived in their neighborhood. An unsuspecting outsider.
The subtle stranger didn’t have pointed ears, horns or a pitchfork, he was just somebody with an opinion. “He was only trying to be helpful”
But what that stranger told them struck Fear in the hearts and minds of humanity for ages to come. The 4 lies that he told them in Genesis 3 separated them from Peace & the God of Peace, and made Stress their God, which caused a Battle in their Souls. Look at what he told them…
Fear Lie #1 FEAR OF BELIEVING /GOD! The oldest known fear
The stranger had them to consider what if God was wrong about what he told them or possibly lying. He challenged them to use Common sense instead of Spiritual sense. He tricked them into believing they knew more about life than the creator of all life. He coaxed them into doubting what they believed/knew. Did God really say that? Really! Gen. 3:1
Fear Lie #2 FEAR OF OPENESS & TRANSPARENCY. the Cover Up
Next, they lost Self-Esteem. Fear brought Shame. They were no longer comfortable being themselves, so they pretended to be someone else. Using leaves/labels/perceptions/money/education to cover up. Gen. 3:7
Fear Lie #3 FEAR OF ACCOUNTABILITY. Hide, don’t be Honest
They didn’t Own their Issue. Rather than asking for Grace they chose Avoidance. Instead of running to God, they ran from him. Gen. 3:8-10
Fear Lie#4 FEAR OF REPENTING. Blame others/It’s not me it’s them.
Lastly, he convinced them not to ask for forgiveness but blame and deflect. It’s easier to point fingers and accuse others rather than to fix yourself. Another name for the stranger is the Accuser. Gen. 3:12-13
These 4 foundational lies have led to all the other issues, problems, disorders, and phobias that we still suffer from today.
