Why Men Hunt: Providers or Stewards

What is it, in these modern times, that drives men to hunt when the game they seek is rarely needed for the existence of their families? Is hunting just a sport? Is it an instinct? Or is it possibly a learned behavior? For most men, hunting goes far beyond the simple tracking of game. This desire for conquest extends into many other areas of their lives, causing them to pursue such things as prestige, possessions, sexual encounters, and attainments of every kind. This certainly can't be God's design for man. In this hunting nature in man part of what needs to be tamed by conversion to Christ? Why Men Hunt examines the issue of the hunting nature in men and asks the question: Was man created to be a provider or a steward of the things which God provides?
