KNOWLEDGE OF GOD - PART 4
Recently, I’ve shared some of my insights on the Knowledge of God.
If it seems like I am fixated on getting to know God, it’s because I am.
I passionately believe that the better I get to know God, the better I can understand my own life, because I was made in His image.
I’m like a child wanting to get to know their parent. Perhaps it's the same for you?
God has also shown that He wants us to get to know him.
“Come, get close to me, so that I can be close to you” James 4:18
On another occasion he said, “How can we have a relationship without an understanding of one another” Amos 3:3
And then, “Let us share our thoughts with one another” Isaiah 1:18
All these things and more, show that God wants us to Know Him.
That’s the purpose for this series. If you begin a review at Part1, you’ll see that with each part we are getting closer to Knowing God!
Today, we’re going to move even closer! Close enough to touch Him.
In an earlier “Truth” I shared that there are several types of Knowledges or Know-Ledges as I referred to them.
I assert that what we Know, is from a perspective; a Ledge, which affords us a viewpoint, hence it is our Know-Ledge. The etymology of the word Knowledge also agrees; Know is a verb; to recognize or understand, and the suffix, Ledge denotes a process. Know-Ledge.
There are many Know-Ledges/processes to gather information from.
Intellectual Knowledge, Educational Knowledge, Moral Knowledge, and Experiential Knowledge, to name a few, anyone can obtain these.
But the greatest Knowledge is a gift, it is like the glimpse of a double rainbow, you can I only receive it if you’re in the right place & time.
The greatest Knowledge of all Knowledges is Revelation Knowledge.
Revelation Knowledge is Revealed Knowledge; it is not something that you can pay for, earn, or take a class to get it. It’s a gift!
Revealed Knowledge is information that the human mind cannot even fathom. God gives it through Divine Revelation/Revealing/Uncovering.
This type of Knowledge provides the most intimate and personal Knowledge of God. The only way to have true Knowledge of God is through Revelation Knowledge. If you don’t have it, then you can’t get to know God.
Adam and Eve were led to believe that Natural Knowledge was the end all be all, unfortunately, many of us believe too. The truth of the matter is that Natural Knowledge or naturally obtained knowledge is the lowest level of all insights.
A Natural Know-Ledge is a place where any human can get to. But far above Natural Knowledge is Divine/Spiritual Knowledge, and only the spirit can travel there.
Revealed Knowledge is the only Knowledge that gives us humans access to Divine Truth. You need Divine Knowledge to understand Divine Truth!
Divine Truth is Divinely Revealed Knowledge that comes through our heart not just our head like Natural Knowledge is received.
However, when you receive the gift of Divine Knowledge/ Revelation Knowledge it WILL change both your heart and your mind.
Our heart is something that must be changed / altered for us to truly see God/ to have a Divine Knowledge of God.
Receiving Revelation is different from receiving Information.
The process is different and so too is the validation.
Revelation from God will always align with the Word of God, which validates/confirms the Knowledge that you have received.
Information is subjective and interruptive, because it comes from Natural Knowledge, also known as Sensory Knowledge; which is limited to physical reality because it is based upon our physical senses.
Conversely, with Revelation Knowledge, God’s Spirt, The Holy Spirit, illuminates our mind with His Knowledge and confirms that it is God based upon what has been written in the scripture’s centuries earlier.
Revelation Knowledge provides us with Spiritual awareness that we otherwise would not have which allows us to see the invisible truth.
Truth is often hidden in plan sight, but it requires revelation.
Revelation Knowledge is the impenetrable Rock on which we should all build our Faith so that the forces of hell can prevail against us. Matt. 16.
Without Revelation Knowledge things are unclear; they’re a bit foggy.
Natural Knowledge allows you to see the seen, and to know the know.
But revelation Knowledge empowers you to see the unseen, and to know what is unknown naturally.
Getting Revelation Knowledge is like getting a factory reset. We will know what God intended us to know back n the beginning, back before we were tricked.
Information feeds the brain; revelation resets your brain and heart to original setting.
It is vital that we get Revelation Knowledge and keep it!
Revelation Knowledge anchors our soul; which is our mind, will, and emotions, so that we don’t get tossed by circumstantial waves. Eph 4:14
